We had lunch on the patio- incredible ambiance, being on a large lake where people were water skiing and boating. The patio was nice also. The food and service were good, but the salsa was fiery hot- my sister couldn't eat in and I, who can tolerate hot food, could barely eat it , When I asked our server if they had a milder salsa, she simply said 'no'. I will be talking to the manager, but thought this review would be helpful.

Food had no taste and way to fast to bring out.i ordered the Mexican hamburger no I didn't like I will not be going back.

This place is great the people that run and own it are amazing I go there every Sunday with my fiance for breakfast I work every close and stop by for dinner as well food is amazing and super fast just great place my favorite eating spot in Arvada for sure !!

Nice staff and really good food. We called ahead for take-out and the food was packaged really well to stay hot for the drive home. Bag of chips and cups of salsa, included, was a much appreciated touch. We had the "regular dinner" and fajita, loved them both. We'll visit the Monterrey House again.

My Friend and I went for Her Birthday... They let Me change one of my items to a taco.. with no problem.. so nice 😁 We Love it Here!!!!

Visiting from Atlanta and I must say this is some of the best mexican food I've ever had...and the Mango Margarita is to die for ... the customer service is top notch...I really felt welcomed

This is nothing like the old Monterrey house, the original owners sold out and as I understand it they returned to Mexico.The new owner retained the original food as It was originally. It's now located In a storefront location not far from the original location. There is no atmosphere like the first and second stores. I still go every now and then for the food but It's a little hard to put off the past, you know the good old days. Still good just not as good.

I adore this place! They have first-rate meals, they have a nice menu, The chef in that restaurant is a real authority in the kitchen, I like a lot tasting all their dishes. The dishes are always of high class, the service towards the guests is friendly. I frequently visit this place and I not even once was discontended. I recommend it to all my friends.

Traditional Mexican dishes. This is a new location that is both roomy and comfortable. I had the chili relleno dinner plate. I am especially fond of the green chili sauce

The portions are amazing, the staff is extra friendly, their prices are good and the food is super authentic and wonderful. We go there at least 2-3 times per month. Sometimes more.

Great restaurant! Chips are super fresh. The atmosphere is very friendly and family oriented. It's busy but not loud. Customer service was off the charts! Overall, a great place.

Very friendly staff got order correct and oh so very tasty I defenatly recomend! Green chili is sublime and just the right amount of heat and lots of taste! Hit the spot and very filling. Bring your appetite and family reasonable prices. Oh so very good.

I’ve been coming here with my family since I was little and it is absolutely my favorite Mexican restaurant! The food is delicious (especially the salsa and green chile), the staff is wonderful, and the service is lightning fast. I hope to be coming here for decades to come!

Myself and my family have enjoyed the Monterey House since the old location on 20th in Edgewater. 55+ years and counting. Nothing like it anywhere!

I love this place. I have been coming here since I was 2. The food is great and the staff are very friendly. We have been there several times since I moved back into that neighborhood and I will continue going there just a out weekly for their guacamole soft tacos

The best green chili in town.! OMG. They started seating the end of May. Had a delicious strawberry margarita. I usually go for the crispy chili rellenos smothered in their house green chili. Authentic mexican food like my grandmother used to make. It was nice to get out and not cook. I love Nelson who always serves us. He jokes around and is always smiling. Freddie, the owner, knows us. It's like family at Monterrey House. Go for a break from all the negative out there and receive some peace and love for a change.

The place was very clean, employees were all business..like you might see in an insurance agency..not like a hospitality business.Food was ok..on the bland side..no real taste ..like no seasoning what so ever.They have really good take out bags..and you are going to need them..because when i got home the entire bag was filled with the sauce or juice consistency.Wanted to try this place for a long time..but after trying it wont be back.

Good food. We have eaten there at night and the service and food is good. This is the first time we went there for breakfast. The food was good and the price was reasonable. We will return.

Ok, smaller plates at low prices. Very good fresh salsa and their own chips. I had cheese enchiladas in gravy which I expected to be new Mexico red but turned out to be a rather bland pork gravy. I'll be more specific next time.

They got good food, Chile could've been more spicy, but still was delicious either way!!
